The Courtmacsherry lifeboat joined an Irish Navy vessel in sailing past and pausing off the Galley head as part of the Open Day at the Galley Head Lighthouse and Titanic Commemoration Ceremony Open Day organised by the Galley Flash Rowing club and Sands Cove fishing club last Wednesday.
A short and simple commemoration ceremony was followed by refreshments and entertainment in the afternoon, and a very pleasant day was had by all.
Our thanks to the organisers and the Irish Lights for leave to have such a successful fundraising event for the RNLI |
